I got around to cleaning on of my computer desktops off–the virtual one, not the one the screen sits on… that one is still cluttered! I came across a sketch of Darkhawk done during a a Comicsmith’s Guild Labor Day weekend sale at Lightning Comics in Coeur d’Alene, ID.
I found this DeviantArt way back in November it seems, just before I took off for a month in Portugal and then came back to basement renovations that closed me out of my coldroon/cubical/closet where I have my Vista PC. I was left with my MacBookPro and updating any website got washed away by a swarm of script writing.
This got me back to the site to see if perhaps the guy the “To” is listed to replied. It turns out “John” didn’t actually come into the shop to pick up a sketch, as told by artist LeviSke:
John wasn’t able to make it in for the free sketchs, but his wife Autumn, did sneak in and pick him up one. She’s pretty smart, she remembered his favorite character, and got him a birthday present for free.
See, we Bucketheads are still out there with dreams of greatness for this under-rated black sheep of the Marvel U. It’s even more special when partners are clear about what characters get priority when choosing/finding necessary gives to appease their happy dreamer.
I’m totally in the same boat! John or Autumn, if you are out there, contact me and lets get a few words!
